I have had buyers apologize for asking to look at more options, and it gets me every time. Somewhere along the way they were rushed or pushed toward a quick yes so a deal could close.

When we relocated here, I figured out fast that Colorado Springs is not one place. The neighborhoods feel like completely different cities, and the one that fits you depends on the season of life you are in.
When people ask me where they should live, I never give a one word answer. The version of you that wants a yard and parks for the kids is shopping in a totally different part of town than the version that wants to park once and walk to coffee.
I have lived here long enough to know the tradeoffs in each, and I will tell you honestly when an area you are eyeing online does not match how you actually live. That one conversation saves people from buying something that feels off the minute real life kicks in.

5 unhinged things I can do because I live in Colorado Springs
1. Send my kids out the front door after dinner until the streetlights come on, because the cul de sac basically raises them in the summer
2. Catch the sun hitting Pikes Peak on my way to grab groceries and still stop to stare at it like I have not lived here for a decade
3. Hit a real farmers market in Old Colorado City or Acacia Park then walk to coffee and brunch right after
4. Decide on a whim to drive up to Vail or Breckenridge for the weekend and get a completely different mountain town vibe, then be home in time for Monday
5. Tell a buyer the honest truth on the same call I am supposed to be winning them over, because around here that is what actually builds trust
People do not move to Colorado Springs for the price tag (although we are more affordable than many other metros… yes I might be biased, we can unpack this in another post) They move here because their kids can have an outdoor childhood, the kind you remember years later.
We did it ourselves back in 2015, and now as a family of five, I know exactly which neighborhoods actually feel like that and which only look the part online.
