Ten months. Ten reasons to make date night in Colo Ten months. Ten reasons to make date night in Colorado Springs more fun!
Colorado Springs gives you so much to work with and most of it does not cost much or require a reservation three weeks out. A sunrise at the Garden of the Gods. Hot air balloons over Memorial Park in September. A German Christmas market in November. These are the kinds of nights that make you genuinely love where you live.
Save this for the months ahead.

Calling all patio lovers… this city was made for o Calling all patio lovers… this city was made for outdoor dining. 300 days of sunshine, mountain views from almost every direction, and a food and bar scene that has genuinely grown over the last several years.
A few spots worth putting on your list for a 10/10 experience.
Ryze Skyline Lounge quaint, stylish and amazing views - great for a date night or girls night out.
Lumen8 for rooftop views of the Front Range with a cocktail in hand. Larger space, more outdoor seating.
The Grand View at Garden of the Gods Resort for one of the most dramatic patio backdrops in the entire city.
Totem - downtown for brunch, lunch or a fun dinner. The patio is lively and super cute.
Ristorante Del Lago at the Broadmoor for lakeside dining that feels like a completely different world.
Patio season in Colorado Springs is not something to waste. What did I miss?

We relocated to Colorado Springs in 2015, and ther We relocated to Colorado Springs in 2015, and there were a lot of things we instantly fell in love with… but there were also a lot of things that totally threw us for a loop… Now over a decade of living here, raising our kids here and helping hundreds of others do the same..
These are a few of the things I can confidently say I absolutely take for granted now.
→ Seeing Pikes Peak on my way to run errands and still stopping mid thought every single time.
→ Watching my kids play outside every day of the year like it is just what kids do. No heat wave to worry about and now car seats burning them.
→ Needing a jacket in June and somehow not being surprised by it anymore.
→ Having actual seasons that feel distinct and not just hot and slightly less hot.
→ The air being so dry that I have a humidifier in basically every room. Mostly in the winters.
→ Watching the sky turn completely dark in the middle of the afternoon and knowing a storm is about to roll through in forty five minutes and then be completely gone.
→ Driving past Garden of the Gods on a random Tuesday and thinking nothing of it (but anytime a first timer sees it… their jaw is on the ground)
→ Having a legitimate pastry scene with places like Boonzaaijer’s and Wimberger’s that would genuinely hold up in any major European city.
→ Feeling safer in a neighborhood than I ever did in a bigger metro. And honestly just the pace of life here, the way it actually allows you to breathe.
→ And let’s not forget the traffic - or the lack thereof!
Arizona has a lot going for it… But Colorado Springs was the place for us and many others we have helped relocate here.
And don’t get me wrong, it’s not for everyone and that is totally okay!
If you are thinking about making a move here from the southwest, or anywhere… I would love to help you find your version of all of this.
👋🏼 I’m Vanessa, your Colorado Springs real estate agent who relocated here herself and has never once looked back.
I take tacos very seriously. Always have. When you I take tacos very seriously. Always have. When you grow up with European food sensibilities and marry into a Mexican family, your standards for what counts as a good taco become non negotiable.
The good news is Colorado Springs delivers, and I know that may be surprising to some of you!! But I’m convinced we’ve found the BEST options.
Tlaquepaque is the one I send people to when I want to watch their face change because it looks like absolutely nothing from the outside and then ruins every other Mexican restaurant for them permanently.
Tacos Del Gordo order by meat at different lines, get the adobada, and don’t skip the salsas.
El Chapin food truck is one of those low key spots that hits every time - simple, flavorful, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They are also our lovely clients so we try to visit them as often as we can and book them for our client appreciation events.
Dos Dos and Dos Santos on South Tejon are our more fancy staples that bring the vibe and are your more fancy tacos.
If you are newer to the Springs or relocating this year, the food scene here is one of the things that consistently surprises people. This city has more depth than it gets credit for and the taco situation is a perfect example of that.
👋🏼 I’m Vanessa, your Colorado Springs local and real estate advisor with strong opinions about tacos and even stronger ones about neighborhoods.
