Here in Colorado Springs there is no shortage of a Here in Colorado Springs there is no shortage of amazing restaurants to schedule your next date night around. But here are a few ideas to mix into your summer rotation, because date night really can be whatever you make it.
Signing on a new investment property together, walking the farmers market on a Saturday morning, sneaking off to a Switchbacks game without the kids. All of it counts. The point is the time, not the price tag.
Ricky and I keep it pretty simple. Not party people. Just a chill night, good food, and good conversation, which is where most of our favorite memories actually live.
If you are new to Colorado Springs and trying to figure out where to take your person, this is a solid place to start.
For my full live like a local guide - comment “LOCAL” and I’ll send it over to you.

The mountain views on the drive home from Target. The 300 plus days of sunshine. Real seasons without the extremes. A city that still feels like a small town in the right ways. Schools that aren’t a fight to get into. Neighborhoods where kids actually play outside. A house you can afford that gives you a yard, a garage, and a guest room.
The food is better than people give it credit for. The trails are 15 minutes from anywhere. The airport is 15 minutes from downtown. Denver is an hour away when you want it.
I moved my whole family here without knowing anyone and built a life I’m not in a hurry to leave. That’s the part that doesn’t make it onto the Zillow listing.

It’s official. MayCember has come and gone. We sur It’s official. MayCember has come and gone. We survived another school year and we are now officially kicking off summer vacation in Colorado Springs.
If you are looking for a go to starter guide to keep your kids entertained all summer long, you are going to be glad you found my page.
With an elementary kid, a middle schooler, and a high schooler at home, I have officially aged into needing options for every level of kid at once. Here are a few of mine.
For the littles: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo before it gets hot. The playground lineup at Cottonwood Creek Park. Feeding the ducks at Quail Lake. Sweet Peak Bubble Waffles as the bribe to get through one more errand.
For the middle ones: a Broadmoor pool day if you can swing it, biking the Pikes Peak Greenway, a day at the lake, and Switchbacks soccer games with a friend.
For the older ones: Climbing out in nature or at one of the indoor climbing spots, Pickle ball tournaments in Banning Lewis Ranch, Summer concerts at Acacia Park with their group, late nights in Old Colorado City for ice cream and walking around, and basically anything that gives them a little independence and a friend group.
For everyone: the farmers markets every weekend, enjoying the outdoors, 4th of July fireworks, and Labor Day Lift Off to close it all out.
Comment ‘SUMMER’ for my full Colorado Springs summer guide.
👋🏼 I’m Vanessa, a Colorado Springs real estate agent and a fellow mom of three doing my best to make this summer count.
June in Colorado Springs is when everything I’ve b June in Colorado Springs is when everything I’ve been waiting on finally shows up. The patios, the farmers markets, the long, light evenings that don’t end until 9.
This month’s edit pulls together what’s actually happening, the spots I’m rotating through right now, a few personal notes on the season of life I’m in, and a quick real estate check in for anyone thinking about a move this summer.
A few things I’m personally looking forward to. Western Street Breakfast on the 17th is one of those iconic Colorado Springs mornings if you’ve never gone.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 21.
Old Colorado City Farmers Market every Saturday and Black Forest on Sundays.
On the real estate side, the spring market is in full motion. So far we’ve got 22 closed, 8 under contract, and 4 listings coming soon, so if you’ve been waiting for things to settle or wondering if it’s a good time to start the conversation, this is your sign that the market is moving!
If you’re thinking about buying, building, or selling this year, send me a message and let’s chat.
👋🏼 I’m Vanessa, a Colorado Springs local and real estate agent who believes in MORE than just real estate.
